the good, the bad, and the what just happened?

{January 30, 2008}   Do you know anyone like this?

People with no common sense make me laugh. They just make my day better.

For example:

I was sitting at the front desk at work and one of the younger teachers was signing in. In the middle of writing, he says, “Oh! I forgot to turn off my car!” and proceeds to run  out the door. Now I can kind of relate to thinking to yourself “I wonder if I left my car on…” Nope. He knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that he just left his car running. Wow. Me and a few others laughed for about 30 minutes witnessing that.

Oh and then after about an hour or so, my boss comes in and tells us one of the teachers asked for another W2 because she said her dog ate hers… Yes, actually, I am serious and apparently so was she because after my boss started laughing, she said, “No, really…”

My friends, these are the people teaching our kids of the future. Isn’t that promising?

{January 27, 2008}   Freedom Launch

Wow it was awesome! I was in nursery with 2-4’s and there were 18 kids! Thats just 2-4’s. On the first day of launch! Seriously, I had so much fun, the cutest kids showed up! Man, I love the ministry I serve in! I love being able to see these kids so young learn about the love of Jesus Christ. It’s incredible what God has me witnessing and participating in. He is incredible and has so much in store! I can’t wait to see what happens at Freedom!

On another note: Jason mailed me my senior pics; all of them! So if ya got a facebook or myspace, I have created a new album for both. Check ‘em out and see how awesome Jason did!

{January 26, 2008}   I Love Surprises!

I especially love this one. Last night I babysat my bosses kids, which I love because those kids are hilarious. While I was there I knew my friend Jesse was on his way to my house from Memphis to come to our church launch for Freedom (By the way service starts at 10:30 at North Metro Tech, you wont want to miss it!!) Anyway I came home and knew he wouldn’t be here until like 1:00 so I went to bed.

WEll… the next thing I know there are a million people in my room! It’s pitch black so I don’t really know whats going on. Do you know who was in my room? Lined up next to my bed was Ashlin, Karlie and Kelsey!  Jesse was behind them. I was so excited! They said that Karlie spoiled it by putting that they were coming on facebook, but I honestly had no idea. I guess they all rode together.

Well whats funny about this situation was that I was talking to Jesse on the phone a few days ago about some surprise but I already knew he was gonna bring rock band and the Bourne Ultimatum-I still haven’t seen it yet- so I told him to bring some other surprise.

Honestly this was the best surprise EVER! Now we are all going to The Cheesecake Factory later today with ms. Carol and Ms. Rosie!! I’m so excited! :)

{January 25, 2008}   Just Say It!

So I was talking to one of my guy friends from TN last night and he decided to tell me that he liked me for the longest time but just never said anything because he thought I didn’t like him back. Sad, right?

Wanna know something more sad? He is guy number THREE to tell me that after I moved. Yeah.

Now I’m not saying I would have necessarily dated all three of them, but still; that’s not the point. It is just SO frustrating!

So guys: if you like a girl, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not wait until she moves away to tell her.

{January 18, 2008}   Snow Day!

Last night it started snowing while I was at work. All the kids were acting like they literally have never seen snow before. They all would run up and put their face against the glass. It was really funny.

When I was finished teaching, I drove home which was really cool because the snow was coming down really hard. I love the snow so I was lovin it. I got home and we all watched American Idol together while I patiently waited for Cherokee County to close. Ugh well they never did, so I went to bed and prayed that they would come to their senses ;) .

Well I set my alarms (yes plural; I have to set 3 just to make sure I get up)  just in case I had school. Luckily my lovely mother came in and told me that schools were closed.

Yay!!

So turned off all my alarms and didn’t get up until 11. It was awesome! Unfortunately I still had to go to work at one but it was still nice.

Well I have officially seen some of my senior pics on Jason Coobs’ blog (www.jasoncoobs.blogspot.com). They rock, if I do say so myself (which I do :D ) He seriously rocks at photography. I can’t wait to get them and print them out!! Thanks again Jason!!

{January 16, 2008}   My dad rocks

So Dad just got promoted to “Head Chef” at his job. Everyone knows he could be the “Head chef” of Emril’s restaurant if he wanted to.

And yes, he is indeed the greatest chef you will ever meet (those of you who have had his food, please leave note on how serious I am). Seriously, there could be nothing in our pantry except a can of green beans and powdered sugar and he could make a feast worthy of the President. But he is so modest about it, which is the greatest part. Oh how I love him! I’m proud of you Daddy!!

{January 12, 2008}   Senior Pics

Today was awesome! First I had to work >blah< then I came home and got an outfit together worthy of senior pics. Then I headed over to the Lee’s so my fashion advisor, Devin, could help me get ready. She rocked out, seriously. She put my hair in hot rollers and did my make-up.  My goodness! I really don’t want to sound like one of “those” girls, ya know: a conceited girl that loves herself and nothing else, but I promise I looked not ugly. THANKS DEVIN!!

Well after that and hangin out with Lexi and London, I went to lake acworth where we went to the fireworks think the fourth of July and Jason was there scopin out the place to see what looked good. He seriously has a great eye. We walked around the lake and stopped when he saw something that might work. It was weird at first because I’m not used to the “attention” on me and pictures being taken of me. The closest thing to that was at school when the kid in front of me would sneeze right before it’s my turn and I have to put my hands up on the bar where he slobbered all over it. So yeah, it was a nice change. I know they will turn out really well. Jason Coobs rocks as well!

Tonight, me and Maddi are going out to Bahama Breeze with a bunch of people. It’s one of our friend’s birthday and she wanted to all get together. It should be fun! Then we are going to go bowlin after that. I have gotten better I think at bowling. Maybe not…I guess we’ll see!

{January 11, 2008}   Rock Band

So yesterday after work, Jesse and myself went to Todd and Joni’s to see them before he went back to Memphis and brought Rock Band with us. Well I was on the microphone and all of a sudden I get the hick-ups in the middle of the song. I almost failed it because I would hick-up and my voice would go really high. It was really funny but not cool at the same time. Joni was awesome cuz she made us TacoRing (which will be in heaven) and cookies. Brayden also was great because he played with us and rocked out on the drums haha. I was putting him to bed and tucking him in when he said, “Tell me a story about Jesse’s drums.” It made me laugh so hard.

After that we played a little more and then I came home and the power was out. Now, I’m clumsy with the lights on, so needless to say, I have serious bruises.

{January 10, 2008}   New Classes

I changed two classes this semester. My schedule now is Brit Lit, Econ, Gov’t, and Alg. III.  Economy is going to be soooo hard! I am tempted to say that it will even be harder than AlgIII…

My Gov’t teacher is really weird. She laughs at her own wit (which, by the way, is non-existant) and she makes really weird facial expressions that don’t go with the mood of her voice. For example: She will say something like, “I love my son so much; he makes me laugh,” and make a disgusted face like just ate brussle sprouts. I don’t know, maybe she is special.

Well on to better news. My friend Jesse is here for the week from memphis and graciously brought Rock Band. I have been playing this nonstop since he came w/ an exception for work and school. It’s so addictive. I have been getting almost no sleep too because of this addiction. And, because I sing with it, my throat is killing me. So I’m not quite sure if it’s worth the trouble it’s causing me. But all I know is I have a ton of fun while playing it so I will continue to do so.

{January 8, 2008}   Boo School

Even though I only have four classes, I still dont want to go tomorrow.  Well, technically, first period starts in about 7 hours. I’m not tired at all right now, though. I’ve been playin rock band, which I don’t really “rock” at but it’s pretty darn fun, especially when your playin with the people I’m playin with. We’re takin a QT break right now so we can rock to our fullest extent.

Ugh, I seriously don’t want to go back to school. I can’t wait to graduate!! And as a matter of fact: I graduate on my birthday- May 30. How freakin awesome is that? Coolest birthday present EVER. It’s like, “Hey, happy birthday Kelsianne. Here’s your present: Don’t ever go back to high school.” That will be the BEST DAY EVER!
