the good, the bad, and the what just happened?

{October 14, 2007}   Great Weekend

So this weekend has been a blast so far!

Well to start out with, earlier in the week I had one of my best friends come to visit me for his fall break and it was so much fun! I miss him a ton. He actually has family here in ATL so he could stay with them but really hang out with me.  He left on friday morning to go to senior night at my old school in Munford TN.  :(

But then to make the pain a little easier…

Two other of my great friends came and we have been havin the greatest time all weekend!  First me and maddi went to pick them up from the airport and let me tell you the ATL aiport is a beast of a place; not just in size either.  There was this cop at one terminal that honked his obnoxious horn cuz we were parked in baggage claim and I guess he was not ok w/ that. So we went to the other terminal because we were at the wrong one anyways, and he found us again and was trying to get us to move.  Maddi was so funny because she said “nope i’m not movin” and she rolled up her window and didnt look at the cop when he went by. She was like “just dont make eye contact” and she was right we didnt and he just kept going. Way to be persistant ATL airport cops.

So after we got the boys in the car while managing to block two lanes of traffic in the process, we then headed to six flags for frightfrest. NOT that frightening. Although, all five of us were walking in a straight line behind one of the park guys dressed up as a freaky man carrying a chainsaw and david was in the front thinkin he was the stuff. Well Freaky Guy all of a sudden turned around and david literally screamed like a little girl and took off running the other way. One of the funniest things i have ever witnessed.

We didnt ride that many rides though because all the coasters were breakin down on us. Kinda annoying but lines werent very long so it was cool.

That was friday night.

Saturday night:  The Cartel Concert

Me and Maddi met the boys at the dorm and we all rode down to the roxy theater in buckhead to see the concert. We went to park and I was like i’ve got cash i’ll just pay however much it is. I was thinkin what? $10 or $15 max. NOPE. twenty freakin bucks. I was like “did he really just say that?” Maddi screamed from the backseat “what about 15?” Foreign guy takin the $ just laughed.  Its cool everyone helped me out. Then we went to ESPNZone to eat b/4 cartel….exciting. Only w/o the exciting part. It was just a bunch of tv’s everywhere with random games on them.  If i actually cared about sports in any way then i woulda just been confused because i would never have been able to look at just one screen.

Then somehow we began playin boy questions against girl questions. Actually it was mostly sports questions against make-up questions to test each other’s knowledge about the opposite sex. I dont really know who won.

Ok concert time… we got to the roxy and the line was in an ally way so everyone was sittin chillin waitin for the concert to start. We got in and it was cool we were pretty close but there’s always gotta be those obnoxiously tall ppl that say “hey i want to be really obnoxious so lets be first in line so we can be in the front row and tick everyone off cuz they cant see over our obnoxious heads” Yeah i’m pretty sure thats what they say. And i never see super tall girls until i get to concerts and every single one of them that exsist are in front of me. Now maybe i’m just SUPER short but i really dont think thats it….

There were two bands that played before cartel. One was Weatherbox who was really, really good….until the singing started. Not so good. Then the second band, The honorary title, came out and these two girls out of nowhere popped up and started talkin to us about how they came from FL and missed their rival game just to see this band. We let them in front of us cuz they were cool and they told us they were leavin b/4 cartel came out anyways cuz they werent big fans of them. Well Honorary Title started and these girls were like interpretive dancing to their music and it was the funniest thing ever. I never even heard of the band so the blond haired girl was like tellin me the words so i could sing along w/ her. If i lived in FL i would find her and be her friend cuz she was hilarious. Well they left and we took their spot and glorious cartel came out and awesome times were had. Except when BEAST GIRL behind us decided it was time to hump everyone in front of her. Gross. Well interesting things i think are in store for tonight but i am nervous and extremely scared.

weekend’s not over yet…
